He competed against some of North America's finest Irish Draughts in 2007 at Lamplight Equestrian Center in Chicago. He placed first in the highly competitive field of stallions validating his authenticity to the breed.
In 2008 Steeped in Luck competed on the national dressage circuit in Canada in the open division. He showed in four Equine Canada Gold (national level) shows and was 2nd Level Champion at three of the four shows including the end of season Ontario Provincial 2nd Level Dressage Champion. His highly respectful scores from FEI O, FEI I, and FEI C judges validate him as an athlete as well as a conformation champion.
Yeah, but can he jump? You Betcha!! In fact, it is a given with internationally renowned bloodlines from King of Diamonds, Ginger Dick, Pride of Shaunlara and Laughton on both sides of his pedigree.
FEI rider and competitor Tom Dvorak is Steeped in Luck's trainer and rider. Of Steeped in Luck, Dvorak says "as a trainer there is much to admire about him: his temperament is amazing, his willingness to work and learn -exceptional, the capability to collect - it's dead easy for him. He has turned a lot heads this summer."
Consider Steeped in Luck if you want to improve the mind, the bone, and the foot on your mare. Consider Steeped in Luck if you want to breed a sane sound mount for amateurs but realize you can produce an internationally competitive mount as well.
The Canadian Sport Horse Association stallion approval judge had the following comments to make about Steeped in Luck at his sport horse stallion inspections: “lovely topline, very well balanced, three equal parts, this horse is very structurally sound, structurally very correct, travels absolutely straight, athletic, very good with his forearm (jump), lots of bone, lots of feet”
