Today (11-4-09) my husband rode her again. This time they worked on leg pressures along with loping cirlcle both direction on a LIGHT rein. She moved out good and was very attentive of what he was asking. Everytime we work her we fall in love with her even more...she is going to make somebody a GREAT horse.
UPDATE AGAIN!! We rode this mare last night (10-30-09) in the arena she never offered anything and we were trotting around like she was an old pro on a loose rein. I decided to show her the barrels just to see if she would spook at them. She never did and listened to everything that I asked of her. She shows so much itelligance that this mare is going to be a hard one to give up.
UPDATE: We rode this mare today (10-5-09) in the round pen, she appears to be more broke than what we were orginally told. She knows some leg pressures & some neck reining but is rusty at it. She picked up on things quick today, never offered to spook or buck. We foresee this mare being one of those "one in a million" type horeses.
LAST 2 WEEKS THIS MARE WILL BE OFFERED TO SALE. HURRY TO GET THIS MARE AT A CHEAP PRICE!
FALL SPECIAL PRICE ONLY VALID FOR A SHORT TIME. HURRY THIS MARE IS A SWEETY.
8 year old Sorrel mare that in AQHA Registered. We are still waiting to actually recieve the papers from AQHA because of previous owners.
We bought this mare hoping to turn her into a new barrel horse. In the pasture she has tremendous speed and we like her build for a new barrel or rope horse.
We haven't had the time for her because of rodeo. Its a shame to see this mare waste more of her life just being in the pature. The people we got her from used her a couple time to trail ride. We have not got to throw a leg over her just yet because of shortage of time. We have saddled, hauled and lunged her and she learns fast.
The 1st time we saddled her she hunched and bucked for a few seconds but then settled right down. She is one that deffiantly needs to trust someone. She is smart and wants to learn. We are looking for someone to take her and give her the chance she deserves.
We really like this mare and hate to see her go but hate seeing her just sitting in pasture worse. Rodeo season has taken our time away from our other horses that need to be worked and also has taken lots of money (lol)...leading to the sale of two of our horses.
She is built stout and would make a good head or heel horse along with a breakaway, barrel & pole horse.
This mare is cheap because the papers are not guaranteed on coming through because of previous owners. I am still waiting on the decision from AQHA. I plan on turning the papers over to new mare if they decided to let me have them at no extra price if she is sold before I get them. If I get her papers and she is not sold her price will go up. AGAIN...NO GUARANTEE HER PAPERS WILL COME THROUGH.
We are considering all offers on the two horses that we have for sale and would be willing to sell both as a package deal.
