This horse is in pasture condition. He is NOT stalled, fed up, or fitted at this time, with a feed/exersize program he will be a top halter competitor.
Well started show prospect. He is not finished. He is walking and jogging under saddle, maintains forward momentum, stops, backs. He is very tolerant and works hard, learns fast. He does not neck rein yet. We do not have facilities to safely lope under saddle at this time, due to thousands of boulders, and being located on the side of a mountain. He lunges walk , trot, lope both ways with tack, does not buck.
We personally prefer to start our horses thourougly in a slow, steady, and consistent way for a horse that will remain sound, SANE and healthy for a life-long working relationship.
Ground drives, easy to catch, stands tied, stands for tacking and mounting, hobble trained, lunges both ways respectfully. Stands to have bridle path clipped with no concerns no twitch needed. Bathes, can spray/touch him anywhere. Stands for vet/farrier work. UTD on vaccinations and de-worming.
He has potential to excel in any discipline. He has slow, smooth easy to sit gaits. You will NOT come out of the saddle when trotting. He would excel as a western pleasure or hunter under saddle horse. He loves to chase stuff, so would also excel at cutting/roping/reining...
Pastures or stalls. No bad habits. Playful personality, loves people, in your pocket pest. NOT spooky.
Only one blemish: On the inside of his right hind leg, on the cannon bone, there is a round scar about the size of a quarter from a superficial cut as a yearling. The hair has grown back almost completely over it. It is not very noticeable, see if you can see it in any of the pictures. Per aphc rules, small scars are not penalized in shows. He is completely sound and healthy, but Vet checks are welcome at buyers expense.
For size reference I am 5.6 and obviously overweight: 184 lbs. He wears a size 2 cavallo horse boot, size large smb elite boots . The saddle in these pictures is an 18.5inch extra wide tree dressage saddle. He takes a size 78 winter blanket snugly. His front cannon bone circumference is 8.5 inches, the hind cannon bone circumference is 9.25 inches.
I may consider a payment plan to be completed within 6 months, but purchaser would be required to obtain and maintain insurance during the payment period, and all payments made will be non-refundable. May consider a free lease to a show home, but must maintain insurance. I will consider reasonable offers from a seasoned serious show home, with a buyback clause.
