I purchased Sterling as a long yearling (as you can see from her arrival photo, I certainly couldn't leave her at the farm where I found her). She is now 4 yrs old, 12.2h and completely recovered from her experience with no lasting effects.
She spent a month at Victory Stables this summer getting some mileage under saddle, and has remained in light training since. She has free jumped 2'6" with ease, and was started over small x-rail and 2' courses. (She LOVES to jump).
I am way to big to be riding her and I can't stand to see her not being used to her potential. Due to her age, she would be perfect for an int or adv junior rider under trainer supervision. And will be very easy to finish, you will have a winning pony in the spring.
Sterling has a wonderful temperament, loves attention, is great at giving pony rides to friend's kids, has done pony parties, ships well, clips, utd on all vet, blacksmith, teeth, etc. I would love to see her in a wonderful show home with a kid of her own. She is definitely a quality investment.
